Criteria One of the most common questions we at EcoIsp are asked is, "How do you judge which environmental organizations are allowed to use the EcoIsp?" And our answer is, "We don't." That is, we do not judge which organizations are worthy and which ones are not. We have an editorial policy that is neutral, nonjudgmental, and nonexclusionary. But we feel that we cannot set ourselves up as judge and jury of who is worthy and who is not. Once you get into the judgmental game, you are on a slippery slope toward one set of values being used to exclude and deny others. does not mean that we necessarily support all of the organizations that
use the EcoIsp. It does mean that we are committed to the best of our
ability to offering an uncensored space in which the free exchange of
ideas and information can occur. If you are occasionally dismayed to
see organizations on the EcoIsp that you disapprove of, we truly
apologize for this. But we would ask you nonetheless to join us in
helping to create an open clearing in which many organizations-some of
which have significant disagreements with each other-can nevertheless
participate in the free exchange of ideas and information, with the net
result being a profound support of the environment and all living
beings. Due to certain state laws and regulations, the Company is not
